Upc Label Software
The universal product code, or UPC, is a bar code that typically has 12 digits and is usually found on the back or bottom of perishable and non-perishable products. Take a digital photo of the UPC label and scan it into your computer to make a printed copy if you cannot remove the label without damaging the bar code. In most cases, the manufacturer will accept a photocopy that is readable.
3.Visit the manufacturer's website or follow the instructions provided on the item package or instructions to learn where to send the UPC label. You may also have to send a copy or original of your purchase receipt, the product itself and a short explanation of why you want a refund. Contact the manufacturer if refund information is not provided on the packaging or on the company website. You will need an address to which to send the UPC and other items required for a refund.
4.Place the UPC label, receipt and explanation in an envelope and send it to the manufacturer. Send the product in a separate box or container, if necessary.
Tips
- Keep a photocopy of the UPC label and copy of your receipt for your files until you receive a refund.
- It may take several weeks to receive a refund by mail.
Warnings
- Some manufacturers only provide refunds for a short period of time after the purchase. Make sure you send in your UPC label and other information within this time period to receive your refund.
- Contact the manufacturer if you have questions about the refund process as some manufacturers require you to send the UPC label to one address and the defective product to another.

Hi, I'm doing a rebate for $30 for a recertified EVGA motherboard that I got from Newegg.com. One of the requirements was the original upc barcode (not the upc shipping label). I'm curious as to what this is. I have the newegg.com box, and that has a upc on it, but it's not on a sticker or anything. The box that the motherboard came in has nothing on it as well, besides an evga sticker. I got to have this postmarked by the 28th, so can anyone please help me and tell me what the original barcode is?
